trike

SCROLL DOWN FOR PICS

I'm selling a nice recumbent trike for a friend who bought it new (I have the original receipt). She rode it only a very few times, found that any bike riding at all was too hard on her degenerative tendon/joint syndrome, and then stored it in my (enclosed) garage for over a year.

She has let me know she won't be riding it, or any other bicycle again, so it's time to find it a home with someone who'll love it and ride it!

I hauled it out of the garage, removed its tender wrapping of plastic, and gave it a bit of a polish. Then my friend and I took it around the block a few times to test it. It's in perfect working order, and the seat is remarkably comfortable.

This is my friend's trike, with detail shots and close-ups.

Here's a writeup on the trike make and model.

Sun EZ-3 USX Recumbent Tricycle

The EZ-3 USX has the stability, comfort and control of a recumbent trike. Some riders find the under-the-seat steering offers a more relaxing arm position. The USX can be adjusted to fit riders from about 5’ to about 6’3”. Its 21 speeds allow most riders to (slowly) climb most paved hills. Beware the 3 speed recumbent trikes if you ever want to climb hills. The 3 speeds just aren’t enough to get a heavy trike up a hill. Several of our customers just love their USX trikes, but they don’t typically ride over 10-20 miles a day and certainly don’t do races.

The USX, like the EZ-3 AX has a lower seat than the Sun EZ-3, and the rear wheels are cambered giving a low center of gravity to increase stability when cornering. Three 20-inch wheels mean only one size tire and tube so you can get matching replacements easily. Its three-wheel brakes stop this trike well.

The USX frame has a hinge in the middle with a spring on it. This feature makes it foldable and gives some suspension.

It is a comfy fun and relaxing trike that is easy to get used to.
