Piano
Crossin Upright Baby Grand Piano for sale.
$500
Antique. Warm, rich sound. Gorgeous dark wood finish with a tiger-like grain. Beautiful carved detailing. In tune and perfectly playable.
I’m unsure of the exact age, but am guessing perhaps a hundred years old. (My guess is based on when the manufacturer — Crossin Piano Co. of Toronto — was in business.)
Situated in my livingroom in East Vancouver, Canada!

Bench comes with the piano. But you knew that.
Here’s a link to an 15-second MP3 of a friend playing the piano, with help from a 5 year-old. Beware the giggles. http://techdonkey.com/pianogallery/elaines-upright-grand-piano-played-including-small-child.mp3
Here’s a tiny film (MPG format) of the keys being tapped in sequence, to show that they all work, except one. (The 2nd-highest key, the B under Highest C, is broken. I didn’t fix it because I don’t play a single thing with notes that high.)
One key is missing an ivory. One can purchase replacements fairly easily — I just never needed to.
The finish is in dang good condition. There are imperfect spots. The finish is uglified along the bottom few inches of the piano.
Buyer is responsible for moving costs. When you call your piano mover to check costs, here’s what you need to know: I’m near 1st and Nanaimo in East Vancouver, and the piano is on the main floor, with a tight-turn front hallway, and once out the front door and onto the small landing, it’s about 8 cement stairs down to the cement front walkway, after which it’s a straight shot to the curb.
