Give me your file boxes of documents, photos and despair. I will return them neatly organized, and with a digital copy of the whole collection. Individual documents can be scanned to multi-page PDF, and images saved in your preferred image format.
That creaky Windows XP laptop that still has photos on it? That failed device that won’t give up the goods? Five old backup drives needing gathering, de-duplication and organizing? Want to recycle an old device but need to be sure your private info comes out first?

I run two types of scanners for two types of media. For photos, slides, and things requiring high-quality scans: a good quality consumer-level flatbed scanner. For paper documents, (multi-page, full-colour, double-side) my fancy auto feed scanner can save as image or PDF. Here for examples of my scans!
I don’t share your documents and images with anyone, I don’t keep copies, and I don’t discuss your personal private business with anyone. Ever.
